Locating your VAT invoice

A Value Added Tax (VAT) invoice is provided whenever VAT is assessed on Airbnb service fees. Your invoice is finalized and issued when a reservation is accepted and includes your information (name, address, etc.) as you entered it in your Airbnb account.

Just be aware: Airbnb is not able to modify a VAT invoice after it’s been issued.

For Hosts

You can access individual VAT invoices for each reservation or download VAT invoices in bulk in the regions where Airbnb generates VAT invoices. VAT invoices are only available for the past 6 months.

To access a VAT invoice for a reservation:

    1. Go to Reservations (you’ll need to log in to your account on a desktop computer or browser)
    2. If the reservation you want isn't displayed, click Completed
    3. Click the three dots next to the reservation
    4. Select VAT Invoice

To access VAT invoices in bulk for your reservations:

    1. Go to Reservations (you’ll need to log in to your account on a desktop computer or browser)
    2. Click Export
    3. Select your File type (CSV or PDF format) and choose the Month you wish to download.
    4. Click Download

Note: The bulk download will include VAT invoices for reservations with start dates that occur within the selected month.

If you add a verified VAT ID number to your account, it will be included on VAT invoices created thereafter. For reservation details, check your Host confirmation.

    For guests

A link to the VAT invoice is available in your email receipt, under the Airbnb service fee.

For reservation details, reference your billing receipt. If you need additional documentation for travel, you can contact your Host before booking.

To access the VAT invoice for your reservation:

    1. Go to Trips and select your trip (you’ll need to log in to your account on a desktop computer or browser)
    2. Click Your home reservation (if you’re already on your trip, you may need to click your check-in date)
    3. Click Get receipt

If you have more than one payment, go to Payments, click the payment you want to open, and the receipt will include a link to the VAT invoice.
