Extend your stay
If you haven't arrived yet or you're having a great time and want to stay longer, you may be able to extend your reservation.
Message your Host and send a trip change request
To extend your trip, you can message your Host and ask if they can accommodate a longer stay, or you can simply send them a trip change request to modify your reservation dates.

- Click Trips and select the trip you want to change
- Under Reservation details, click Change reservation

- Review your changes and then click Send request

How the cost of your reservation may be affected
If your Host accepts your change request, your reservation will be updated and you’ll be charged for the extra time. The original total and the new total will be shown before you submit your trip change request.
In most cases, the additional cost will be charged to your original payment method as soon as the Host accepts your trip change request.
For some payment methods, guests will need to submit the additional payment within 48 hours or by their original checkout time, whichever is sooner.
Your Host must accept the trip change request before it’s confirmed
Once you send the request, your Host will receive a notification to approve or decline your request.
If your Host approves the change, you'll receive a confirmation, and the reservation details will be updated to reflect the changes. If your Host can’t extend your stay or if they don’t respond, your checkout date will stay the same.
If your Host hasn’t responded to your trip change request
If you submitted a trip change request and your Host hasn’t responded to it, try sending them a message reminding them to review your request.
If your trip has already ended
If your checkout has passed, it’s too late to make a change request. What you can do, though, is send a new trip request to your Host.
